The Y Active children's programme has been established since 1995, with the aim of promoting health, fitness and sport in young people. The emphasis is on fun, participation and development through a range of activities. Y Active seeks to make a positive impact on the trend towards inactivity and obesity in young people.
The current programme includes specialist sports sessions, after-school activities, play schemes during school holidays, a Saturday Club and a crèche facility.
